Renesmee Cullen

Renesmee Carlie Cullen is the child of Edward Cullen and his wife Bella Cullen in the popular teenage fantasy saga - Twilight. When Renesee was conceived on her parents honeymoon, Bella was still a human, which means when baby Renesmee was born, she was a half vampire and half human hybrid. The name "Renesmee" comes from an amalgamation of her maternal and paternal grandmothers - Renée and Esme, and likewise, her middle name "Carlie" is a mixture of her paternal and maternal grandfathers - Carlisle and Charlie.

"Nessie" as she is called by Jacob Black, is one of the only human-vampire hybrids known to vampire existance along with Nahuel another half vampire child from South America. In Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and the beginning of Breaking Dawn, Jacob had always loved Bella, and during her pregnancy, he had hated Renesmee for hurting and almost killing Bella. Although, ever since he set his eyes upon Renesmee he has loved and adored her; this is calling imprinting, the shape-shifter's version of falling in love. However, at birth and during her childhood, it only feels like an emotional tug, and a need to protect and his feelings for her will only become romantic and sexual when she becomes of age. Bella, as Renesmee's mother is very angry that her daughter already has a soul mate, especially one that is a were-wolf and she is jealous of the fact that Jacob is in love.

[edit] Appearance and Personality

Renesmee is described as being extremely beautiful with the facial features and the bronze hair colour of Edward Cullen, her father, and it is curly which she may have gotten from her maternal grandfather, Charlie, and is said to have ringlets in the novel. She has very pale skin, like all vampires, but it has a tinge of colour in her cheeks because she is still human and she has a "chocolate brown" eye colour, just like her human mother had.

From a distance, she, like all hybrid children, could look like an immortal child, which gets her into trouble with the Volturi when Irina spots her out hunting with Jacob and her mother.

As part vampire, Renesmee has all of the basic vampiric abilities that all of the race have, but she has a special one too, just as her mother and father have. However, hers is different: she can share thoughts and memories through touch, and can even break through her mothers "shield" ability. This is called being an anti-shield.

Renesmee was born into a large family. She has Edward and Bella Cullen, he two parents, Charlie, Renée, Edward Mason Senior(deceased) and Elizabeth Masen(deceased) as her grandparents and Carlisle and Esme as her adoptive grandparents. She also has two adoptive aunties by the names of Alice and Rosalie (who especially cares for Renesmee) and Jasper and Emmett, her two adoptive uncles.

Renesmee has no enemies, although the Volturi come to Forks in Breaking Dawn to cause her harm because they think that she is an immortal child (from Irina's tip-off).
